RMHS is one of 7 high schools located in the area. RMHS offers over 200 clubs both school sponsored and student initiated. The athletics department provides students with various sports throughout the school year, and has the only school gymnastics team in the district. Outside of extra curricular activities RMHS has AP classes in almost every subject along with CU accredited courses. The school follows a code of conduct best known as "The Lobo Way". Incoming freshmen are required to take Lobo 101, to learn about school culture and what is expected of them as students at Rocky Mountain High School. they believe:
